How to download Douyin videos without watermark
Save Douyin and TikTok videos in the original quality, without the on-brand watermark burned into the file. Three clicks, no account, no third-party site.

Install the VideoSave extension
Add VideoSave from the Chrome Web Store. The free plan is enough for this guide; no login, no sign-up form, no payment required to try.
Tip: pin the extension to the toolbar so the icon stays visible — though you do not need to click it. The extension injects its controls directly onto each supported page.

Open the Douyin or TikTok video you want to save
Navigate to a video detail page (the URL that plays one specific video) or a supported recommendation feed. The extension's three buttons appear once the page is fully loaded.
Tip: if you are on a feed that auto-scrolls, the buttons follow whichever video is currently playing. You do not have to switch to a detail page first.

Click Download video
Press the second injected button on the right edge of the page. The extension picks the strongest available source — and falls back automatically if the first source is throttled or unavailable.
Tip: the progress dialog shows percentage, file size and estimated remaining time. Closing the tab during download will cancel the file — keep the tab open until it lands in your Downloads folder.

Confirm the file in your Downloads folder
When the progress dialog finishes, the MP4 lands in your browser's Downloads folder (or the subfolder you set in the extension options).
Tip: open the extension options to change the destination subfolder (for example
~/Downloads/Douyin) and to choose a Pro quality tier.
Frequently asked questions
Is the download really without watermark?
Yes. The extension pulls a source stream that is uploaded without the platform's on-brand watermark, so the saved MP4 has no overlay burned into the frames. Some videos still carry an in-app username tag depending on how the creator uploaded them — that is part of the source, not added by the extension.
Where is the file saved?
By default Chrome saves the file to ~/Downloads. Open the extension options to choose a subfolder (for example ~/Downloads/Douyin) and the extension will write there instead. Filenames are generated from the video title.
What video quality will I get?
On the free plan you can download videos up to 480p for up to three successful downloads. Pro ($10.99 one-time) unlocks the best available quality the source exposes, with no usage cap.
Does it work on TikTok too?
Yes. The extension injects the same controls on tiktok.com video pages and supported feeds. Both platforms use the same one-click flow described above.
Do I need a Douyin or TikTok account?
No. The extension only reads the public page content that the platform already shows in your browser. It never asks for your login, cookies or account credentials.
